the raindrops the raindrops the raindrops

Raindown
30"x40" Paint on Canvas

To me their is nothing quite like listening to music in headphones under an umbrella while it's pouring. This was my inspiration to my latest piece Raindown.

It's been a little while since I have added to the painting pixels series but I had doubts on the sketching stages of this piece and kinda put it on the back burner. It photographed really well and looks great on a wall, I am pretty happy I didnt bail on this piece and I ended up sticking it out.

Up In Gulls... Shelf

So I found this small Shelf (16" x 12" x 26) Wet and in the Garbage a block away from my apartment. I am not usually a Garbage picker... most of the time I will pass by  the unwanted "treasures" and rattle off a list of reasons in my head why It's not worth it.

Not this time, I brought it home let it dry off, slapped a couple of coats of paint and added the Pixel Gulls from the "Up In Gulls" piece I did a couple of weeks ago.
I definitely needed a nice book/dvd/dresser for my apt but something on the smaller side so this worked out perfect.
Have a good weekend! oh and.... the Mets beat the Phillies!

Say Ahh!

Hey peoples,
I posted the Ghosts Desktop Wallpaper last week while I was working on this piece. Say Ahh! is the newest installment to my Painting Pixels Series and like when finishing the other pieces my eyes are a little fuzzy (not like tennis balls.. fuzzy, more like my grandma has some schmutz on her glasses ...fuzzy.) I really hope I am not doing an damage to them . I am going to take a little time off until the next one but will post the progress on here while I am working on it.

Up in Gulls

*This piece is about 95% finished I want to do something with the left side of the face and some cleaning up on some spots.

When I started to transfer this piece onto poster board I made a last minute decision onto not do posters and move onto canvas. I realized shortly that I was putting to much time on these projects to have them be on cheap paper. I also went large going from 22" x 28" to 30"x40". I have some ideas of the what the next one will be but am going to give my eyes some rest. The black and white dots strained my eyes a lot and had to do about 95% of this project with one eye close and alternating eyes every minute or so, not so fun.

Painting Pixels

Hey so I guess I have been inspired by the Fish & Keyes show and started to doodle again, I'm trying to be a bit more productive with my time. I used part of the Me Two! Wallpaper shown below.

The Piece is the Bottom half of my face with rain clouds on top. It's all hand done with Oil Paint.
This will be the first of a series of halftone hand-drawn posters I am going to do. I am not 100% happy with how the rain looks but I am hoping to get better and more detailed as I go on.
